Peter:
Dear Lord,
We pray for those who are caught up in war and oppression. We pray that they will get the funds they need to perhaps move out of heavy fighting areas and afford food and other supplies. We can also help to stop the fighting in those areas by controlling the arms trade in which Britain is one of the key suppliers.
David:
Dear Lord,
We pray for pop stars, sports people and celebrities who are role models who can influence the younger generation.
Charlotte:
Dear Lord,
We pray for those who have nothing like food, water and clothes. Children die every day because of starvation and disease because they don’t have vaccinations or at least a roof over their heads. Famine is a regular thing and we need to help them so they can live happily like us.
Sarah:
Dear Lord,
We pray for those who have the power to change the way the world is: for our Queen and government and the leaders of all nations – help them to make the right decisions.
David:
Dear Lord,
We pray for those of us in developed countries, help us to remain compassionate and aware of the suffering of others. Let us keep our own sorrows in perspective, and help us to remain grateful for our many blessings.
